Hayley and Matt are an awesome couple. Originally from Australia, they moved to San Francisco about 8 years ago. I met Hayley when she reached out to me asking about opportunities for working as a second shooter during weddings. She’s a great photographer and I love working with her! (You can visit her website and check out her work.) After having their third child, the family decided to move back to their home country of Australia. Since moving back to Australia, Hayley brings her family back once a year so that she can do portrait sessions with her past clients, which is great for me because then I get to spend time with her again. But before they moved, as we were catching up one day, I basically told Hayley, “you’ve lived here for almost 8 years and you haven’t thought about getting a family shoot done before you go?! You’re crazy. We’re doing it Hayley!” Or at least, that’s how Hayley says I said it. And so, we did it. We hit a few fun areas of San Francisco (Nob Hill, Alamo Square and Travis Marina) and for once, Hayley was in front of the lens and having a blast with her family. Thanks for letting me be a part of your family photo shoot my friends! Love you guys!

Here’s what Hayley had to say about their family photo shoot:
“It was actually Tara that made us do this shoot and I am forever grateful that she did! We were weeks away from leaving the country to relocate back to Australia after almost 8 years in SF. Tara just looked at me one day when we were catching up and she said something to the effect of “you’ve lived here for almost 8 years and you haven’t thought about getting a family shoot done before you go?! You’re crazy. We’re doing it Hayley!”. She was amazing at just telling us it HAD to happen. And I can’t thank her enough for capturing such special treasured memories for us that will always remain in our hearts and now in photos too. I feel the photos capture the personalities of our three girls perfectly at such wonderful ages. We were all over the city on this shoot and I love that the images show such a big part of the architecture of SF too. Thank you Tara for just making this happen!”
