Living in northern California, we’re spoiled with some of the world’s best wedding locations. From the rugged coastline of Monterey Bay to the tall mountains of Santa Cruz and the low valleys of Napa, we have many beautiful wedding locations to choose from. Today’s blog entry features Erika and Dinh’s Vintage Estates wedding in California’s famous wine-growing region, Napa Valley.
About the Venue
Erika and Dinh’s Vintage Estates Yountville wedding showcases the best of California’s wine country wedding style. The Vintage Estate is comprised of The Vintage Inn and Villagio Inn & Spa in Yountville, California. The two properties are set on 23 acres in a prime location in the heart of Napa Valley’s Yountville. If you’ve driven on Washington Street through the cute little town of Yountville, you’ve probably seen the Villagio Inn & Spa. It’s centrally located and an ideal spot for wedding guests to stay and explore wine country for the weekend. After all the wedding festivities, of course.
The Vintage Estates has all the perks of wine country in one central location. Lush gardens, flowing fountains, sunsets over the vineyard- all the elements of a perfect wine country wedding.
The Wedding Design
For their outdoor wedding ceremony, Erika and Dinh chose the Vintage Estates Pavilion. The Pavilion has a terraced gardens, lush lawns and Italian-style pergolas over raised stage areas. This combination makes The Pavilion at Vintage Estates Yountville a perfect spot for a wedding ceremony and reception. There are two spaces- the East Pavilion and West Pavilion- which can be used as separate areas for the ceremony and reception. For the wedding ceremony, the team of Napa Valley Custom Events complimented the existing beauty of the pavilion by adding elegant draping and a charming chandelier to the pergola. The brick walkway leading to the pavilion stage was flanked on each side by floral arrangements on tall pedestals designed by Julie Stevens Design. The minimal decor elements blended with the natural beauty of the space creating the quintessential wine country wedding style.
The wine country wedding style carried seamlessly into the wedding reception decor. Round tables, named for wine varietals, were topped with embroidered ivory linens creating a base from which bright colors could pop. Honey-colored glassware, gold vessels full of wild greenery and purple blooms and rustic wooden chairs anchored the style and design of the wine country wedding reception. Menus were set at each place topped with a sprig of rosemary and a heart-topped wine bottle stopper.
As the sun set over the Vintage Estates Yountville, wedding guests were invited to The Barrel Room for dessert and dancing. The Barrel Room boasts rustic character with brick walls, a beam and rafter ceiling and wrought iron chandeliers. Cozy seating areas were set along with cocktail tables and chairs. Dancing the night away in a historic barrel room is the perfect ending to a wine country wedding celebration.
